These groups are open to all\u2014whether or not you attend the larger WINS Council meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each working group has a distinct purpose, set of activities, and meeting schedules:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li id=\"@strategicplaning\" class=\"has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8648c2b07a76d65a6c72779e0454515a\">Strategic Planning Working Group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Purpose: Provides oversight and steers the strategic direction of the LIP, including the annual community activity plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Activities: High-level planning, program evaluation, and alignment with broader goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Role: Leadership and strategic input.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meeting Frequency: Monthly (at least 3\/year), with additional planning sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li id=\"@employmentworkinggroup\" class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-97862abe357d6cdd1608c289aaf6b60e\">Employment Working Group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Purpose: Supports newcomers in securing and retaining employment aligned with their skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Activities: Job fairs, resource development, employer engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Role: Solution-building and outreach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meeting Frequency: Bi-monthly (at least 4\/year), plus project work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li id=\"@belongingandcommunity\" class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-c1fe2692f6fb3d89c5d95fd028d52165\">Belonging and Community Receptivity Working Group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Purpose: Enhances newcomers\u2019 sense of belonging and promotes positive attitudes toward immigrants and refugees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Activities: Cultural events, community dialogues, inclusivity campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Role: Community engagement and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meeting Frequency: Monthly (at least 4\/year), often tied to event planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li id=\"@emergencyresponsenewwest\" class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-d6d30b70914df261ee91ef775bfa7b66\">Emergency Response Working Group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Purpose: Originally formed for Ukrainian arrivals, now supports all refugees during crises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Activities: Coordinating housing, legal aid, and social services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Role: Rapid response and resource mobilization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meeting Frequency: As needed, responsive to emerging situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li id=\"@SPOKES\" class=\"has-luminous-vivid-amber-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-fc841bbf05707444e59f966098c053be\">SPOKES Committee (Resilience BC Anti-Racism Network)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Purpose: Focuses on anti-racism and equity through the Resilience BC Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Activities: Campaigns, workshops, outreach to marginalized communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Role: Advocacy and long-term project
